Human Options honors Laguna resident, honorable Sheila Prell Sonenshine, at 2016 Annual Luncheon

The nonprofit organization Human Options honored those who work to stop domestic violence and provide aid to victims at their annual luncheon on Dec 1 at the Center Club in Costa Mesa.

The event enabled invited guests, supporters of Human Options, and local civic leaders from around Southern California to join the nonprofit in recognizing individuals and companies who have made an impact for their work in advocating for domestic violence victims.

The honorable Sheila Prell Sonenshine (ret.), a Laguna Beach resident, was one of those honored at the luncheon for her involvement with Human Options since the organization’s start in 1981.

Justice Sonenshine has played a critical role in defining the legal advocacy system now available at all domestic violence programs in Orange County. In 1995, she created the Annual Sheila Prell Sonenshine Pro Bono Reception to connect new lawyers with non-profit organizations like Human Options.
