Leadership Laguna 2017: A Citizens’ Academy - The Laguna Beach Community Foundation and the City will be hosting a free, five-week citizen awareness program for residents to learn about city operations and how to participate in civic affairs. Sessions take place on Thursdays from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. beginning on March 2. Each session will cover aspects of local government and presentations from all City departments. Leadership Laguna will answer your questions about City government and offer an insider look to encourage community involvement. Space is limited! Forest Avenue Banner Program – The Community Services Department is accepting applications and preferred dates from Laguna Beach non-profit organizations who are interested in the 2018 Forest Avenue Banner Program.  Please submit your application via mail to This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. up until Tuesday, February 14, at 5:30 p.m.  Banners will hang for a two-week period, and eligible Laguna Beach non-profit organizations may apply for a maximum of two banners per calendar year.  Once the date preferences are submitted, the organization’s names will be entered and selected using a lottery system.

Cliff Drive Lane Closure - On Monday, February 13,2017, from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., the Laguna Beach County Water District will be closing westbound Cliff Drive, between Rosa Bonheur and Aster Street, to complete work associated with recent fire hydrant replacements.  A detour will be provided for westbound traffic, and minor traffic impacts can be expected. 

Coast Highway Lane Closure - To accommodate SDG&E work associated with Coast Royal utility undergrounding, one southbound lane of Coast Highway near West Street will be closed on Tuesday, February 14, between 9:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m.  Minor traffic impacts can be expected. This work was previously scheduled for February 7, but was postponed due to weather conditions.
