Girls Water Polo

Aria Fischer scored four goals to lead the Breakers past El Toro 19-4 at the Laguna Community Center. Claire Sonne added three, Evan Tingler and Bella Baldridge chipped in two each. Eleven different players scored for the undefeated (28-0) squad.

Laguna will travel to Los Alamitos on Saturday to face the Griffins at the Los Alamitos Joint Forces Training Base, 3:15 p.m. match time. Admission is free.

 

Boys Basketball

The visiting Pioneer Titans came to Dugger Gym this past Wednesday with a full entourage of fans, cheer squads and enthusiasm but the host Breakers quickly doused their plans behind Blake Burzell who scored 16 points but more importantly dished out a number of key assists to lead Laguna past the visitors 67-60.

Laguna wins against Pioneer: score 67 - 60

Grady Morgan was the high point player with 23 points and Charlie Rounaghi added 12.

Laguna (19-10) advance to play at Crean Lutheran (Irvine) tonight at 7PM. Crean is located on Sand Canyon at Portola Parkway.

 

Varsity Girls Soccer

LBHS Girls Varsity Soccer advanced this year to CIF Playoffs with a 10-0-0 Orange Coast League record. With an 18-3-2 overall record and ranked # 2 in CIF D4, the Breakers took on Fullerton High School Thursday, 2/16 at LBHS. They won 4 – 1!

Laguna lost a 3-1 contest in the D-5 Wild Card match played Wednesday in Temecula.

Breakers end with 6-9-4 overall record.
