Local Red Cross Blood Drive is a huge success, thanks to our community

The Red Cross thanks the community for donating blood during a local blood drive on Wednesday, May 15 at Laguna Presbyterian Church, after an “urgent need for blood.”

The drive had forty people sign in, and collected thirty units of blood. That can save up to ninety lives. Twenty two of the forty had not donated before at the LPC location, and sixteen of them were walk-ins.

“That is community, which is what we (Stu News, five other churches in Laguna Beach, LCAD, KX 93.5, Red Cross, and Laguna Presbyterian) are trying to build,” stated Sandy Grim, ARC/LPC Blood Drive Coordinator.

The next Blood Drive is scheduled for Wednesday, August 7 from 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. at the Laguna Presbyterian Church again.
