11th Annual “Making The Impact” virtual awards event honors nonprofits

For the 11th year, local nonprofit organization Impact Giving will announce

its grant season recipients at its Annual Awards Event. The team of women Partners who form the foundation of the organization aim to change lives both locally and globally through the power of collective giving.

Impact Giving has raised more than $1.33 million in the short time since launching and awarded $130,400 at its 2019 Awards Event alone. Typically a gala-style event, Impact Giving will celebrate this year’s grant recipient finalists and announce its 2020 grant awards virtually on Thursday, May 21 at 7 p.m. Leading up to the event, the organization will be highlighting the grant finalists on social media.

Get to Know Your Grant Finalists: Monday, May 18 through Wednesday, May 20 at 12 p.m. Tune into Facebook/Instagram each day.

Grant Recipient Presentation: Thursday, May 21 @ 7 p.m. Hosted on Zoom.

Registration is not required and attendance is free. The organization is requesting donations to support Impact Giving and the grant finalists.

Impact Giving President and Partners at previous grant season kick-off event

 “Our Partners and donors have outdone themselves this year. The passion that each of us has for nonprofits around the globe is astounding,” said Jennifer Lipinski, board chair of Impact Giving. “We had 43 amazing organizations submit for a grant this year, and we are overjoyed to share the news of our finalists and grant recipients at this year’s event.”

This year’s finalists include: Bracken’s Kitchen, CASA OC, Concern America, Dragon Kim Foundation, Elder Law and Disability Rights Center, Girls Inc. of Orange County, Giving Children Hope, IEFT/Orkeeswa School, International Orphan Care, Just in Time for Foster Youth, Lights for Literacy (Bourke Family Foundation), Lotus Outreach International, New Directions for Women, ReWritten, South County Outreach, Stand Up for Kids, The Phil Simon Clinic Tanzania, With My Own Two Hands.
