City Planners to review Caltrans highway project


Laguna Beach Planning Commissioners are scheduled to review on Wednesday the design and application for a Coastal Development Permit for the construction of improvements along the highway between Ledroit and Ruby Streets.

The Caltrans proposal for pedestrian and Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) improvements include upgrading curb ramps, sidewalk, driveways, traffic signals, relocation of utilities and parking meters, drainage improvements, and enhanced striping and signage. A Coastal Development Permit was filed in February, and the project is appealable to the California Coastal Commission.
