The tour began outside of the Water District Building, designed by Aubrey St. Clair in 1929. Participants then walked down to the Fire Station (1931) and to City Hall (1951). It was a great lesson on the design and architecture of these civic buildings. Ann Christoph, Clark Collins and Jon Stordahl provided history of how these buildings came to fruition, and the impact on the overall development of Laguna Beach.

A unique experience for this year’s tour was a look inside the Neighborhood Congregational Church. The Parish Hall was originally designed by Aubrey St. Clair in 1950. Attendees were able to view St. Clair’s original drawings for the church.
