Meet Rotary’s Student of the Month

The Rotary Club of Laguna Beach recently honored LBHS Senior Tyler Palino, as January’s Student of the Month in the field of science.

“I am very interested in engineering, computer science, coding and enjoy working on impactful projects,” said Palino.

During his high school career, Palino has received a College Board AP Scholar with Distinction and has been on the Superintendent’s Honor Roll for seven semesters. He is also a peer tutor and mentor, vice president of Strength in Numbers and president of Connect Tech Laguna, where he spreads scam awareness. Palino has also been selected as a Junior Citizen by this year’s Patriots Day Parade Committee.

Palino’s future plans include attending a four-year university and majoring in computer science and engineering. He would like to work in the software engineering field to gain experience, then eventually start his own company to create impactful projects that help people. He will receive a Rotary scholarship upon graduation.
