Mission Viejo man arrested for suspected attempted murder and held on $500,000 bail
On Sunday, Feb. 4, Jack Edward Cox Jr., 56, from Mission Viejo, was arrested for suspected attempted murder by the Laguna Beach Police Department. The alleged incident leading to the arrest took place outside of a residence in the area of Cliff Drive and Acacia, just above Broadway Street.
According to a Laguna Beach Police spokesperson, the alleged crime was related to domestic violence and the suspect reportedly used his hands to commit the crime. According to LBPD, the suspect and the victim were in a dating relationship.
Laguna Beach Fire reportedly transported the victim to Mission Hospital, where her condition and recovery status remains protected by HIPAA privacy laws.
Cox was arrested on suspicion of Felony Attempted Murder [664/187 (A)] and held on a $500,000 bail.
