The Veterans Pet Wellness Program, funded by PUP Laguna Beach in partnership with the Laguna Beach Animal Shelter, will provide no-cost spay or neuter procedures with an included microchip for eligible active-duty and retired military residents of Laguna Beach and Laguna Woods
Vouchers will be available at the Laguna Beach Animal Shelter from October 1 through October 31. There is no cost for the voucher, but participants must obtain a voucher during the October enrollment period. Procedures must be scheduled and completed in November 2026 at Laguna Beach Animal Hospital, the participating veterinarian.
To qualify, participants must provide proof that they are residents of Laguna Beach or Laguna Woods and proof that they are currently serving on active duty or are retired from military service.
The program is designed to make important preventive veterinary care more accessible while recognizing the service of local military members and veterans. Spaying and neutering can help prevent unwanted litters, and the microchip included with each spay or neuter procedure provides an additional way to help reunite a lost pet with its owner. Microchipping is included only with a spay or neuter procedure through this program and is not available as a stand-alone service.
Eligible residents may obtain vouchers at the Laguna Beach Animal Shelter, 20612 Laguna Canyon Road, Laguna Beach. For additional information, call the shelter at 949.497.3552.
