Tea & Turmeric named Best Tea Store in Southern California for 2026 for the second year in a row
Tea & Turmeric was just named Best Tea Store in Southern California for 2026, which makes this the second year in a row winning the award after also receiving it in 2025. They also won a Readers’ Choice award for Best Place to Buy Gifts last year.
Tea & Turmeric, the family-owned Ayurvedic shop, was founded in late 2021 by sisters Vidya and Kavita Reddy.

Tea & Turmeric sits on South Coast Highway, but their story began long before the shop opened. The sisters grew up in their grandmother’s Ayurvedic kitchen where spices were comfort, tea was medicine and wellness was part of everyday life. That foundation guides everything they blend today.
“It’s been so special to see how much the shop has grown over the years through the support of the Laguna community,” said Vidya. “What started as my sister and I sharing our love for tea, Ayurveda, spices and wellness has turned into something much bigger than we ever expected. Between the teas, workshops, cooking classes and our podcast The Tea on Wellness, the shop has become such a meaningful space for connection and conversation.”

Their podcast was also recently ranked in the top 25% of new podcasts, which has been exciting for the sisters as they continue building more wellness-focused content and community beyond the shop.
