Truck flips on Saturday morning blocking the 133 in both directions

On Saturday, March 9, at 10:56 a.m., Laguna Beach Police officers were dispatched to a collision on SR-133 near the Nix Nature Center. Officers arrived to find a big rig stuck between the rails completely blocking the highway for motorists and cyclists.

A contra flow was initiated to clear all vehicles in the outbound lanes of SR-133 between SR-73 and Laguna Altura. The collision affected both inbound and outbound traffic.

The incident ultimately fell under the California Highway Patrol jurisdiction. They reported the cause of the incident was an unsafe turn. No one was injured and no citations were issued.

The CHP ultimately cleared the incident at 2:04 p.m. and reopened the highway.
